The Roanoke Times Striking UAW members were set up outside the Volvo Trucks North America plant in Pulaski County earlier this year. The plant is one of the largest private sector employers in the region, with about 3,300 employees. In January, defense attorney Aaron Cook filed a motion for a new trial, claiming that prosecutors had failed to tell Rayaâs previous attorney about information that suggested other people might have been involved in the crime she was convicted of.
