Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University (BDU) Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor paid homage to father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of the 101st birth anniversary of the great leader and the National Children’s Day.
He paid the homage by placing a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at the historic 32 Dhanmondi Road in the capital this morning (Wednesday), said a press release.
After placing the wreath, VC Munaz Ahmed Noor said, “Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are inseparable part of our history. He is the source of our inspiration. His works and ideology will remain alive forever in the heart of every Bengali.” ....

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bangladesh on March 26 and 27 to attend the celebrations to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and 50 years of the war of liberation of Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday. The visit, which is the first foreign trip by Prime Minister Modi since the outbreak of the pandemic, is noteworthy as he is scheduled to travel outside Dhaka and visit Orakandi, which is sacred to the Matua community of West Bengal. ....

The nation has geared itself up to celebrate on Wednesday the 101st birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who led it to independence from the oppressive Pakistan.

Ban Ki-moon, former secretary-general of the United Nations, has remembered the far-reaching vision of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to help rebuild the war-ravaged Bangladesh in the early 1970s and his life-long struggle for the emancipation of people.
