I attended the recent online forum held on March 31 about Consumer Choice Aggregation that will be a warrant article in the upcoming Medfield Town Meeting in May.  I have to say that I learned a lot about this topic, which I really appreciated because this is something I knew very little about. 
The forum was hosted by Medfield Environment Action and the Medfield Energy Committee, and the main presenter was from Green Energy Consumers Alliance all people who know what they are talking about. 
Basically, CCA is a way for the town to do bulk-buying of electricity, thus saving money, and that electricity is from green renewable sources in New England.  In short, this plan would overall save cost, and very importantly, help against climate change.  ....

Program a multijurisdictional effort that seeks “substantial reductions in motor vehicle pollution” and will allow Rhode Island to “invest almost $200 million between 2023 and 2032 in modernizing transportation, improving public health, addressing environmental inequities in low-income communities, and protecting residents from the impacts of climate change.”
In a press release the Raimondo Administration says that “[t]ransportation is responsible for 38 percent of ​greenhouse emissions in Rhode Island. Exposure to air pollution exacerbates lung and heart ailments, causes asthma attacks, and increases the risk of a stroke and other serious health conditions.
