MissionNewswire) Don Bosco University in San Salvador, El Salvador, has inaugurated new facilities for the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences to empower the next generation of medical rehabilitation practitioners through its “Walking Anew!” project. This project was made possible thanks to a grant from USAID’s American Schools and Hospitals Abroad (ASHA) program secured by Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco.
The “Walking Anew!” project is expanding and upgrading the facilities at Don Bosco University’s School of Rehabilitation Science as well as the equipment used to train medical rehabilitation professionals. The project will also pioneer innovative techniques in the treatment of people with disabilities. ....

Amazon donated hundreds of copies of a racist, error-filled book by a critical race theorist to public schools. In doing so, it helped poison young minds, and taught high-school students falsehoods about America’s history and politics. It did this at the urging of a school official in Arlington, Va.
The Washington Free Beacon reports that “Amazon spent $5,000 to distribute hundreds of copies” of “Ibram X. Kendi’s book” Stamped “to Virginia public school students” in Arlington, Va. The “key concept” Kendi teaches is that society needs to discriminate against whites to make up for past discrimination against blacks. Research building rises as second architectural wonder at Florida Poly

The Applied Research Center continues to assume its striking exterior features more than a year and a half after construction began, and Florida Poly officials are celebrating an infusion of state funding that will allow it to be completed on schedule.
The Florida Legislature included nearly $14.9 million for the project in the budget adopted this session, and Gov. Ron DeSantis refrained from vetoing the funding when he signed the budget on June 2. That action came as a relief to David Calhoun, Florida Polytechnic’s assistant vice president of facilities and safety services.
“I thought it was great news for Florida Poly,” Calhoun said. “We have more campus to build on than we have buildings built. We still have a lot of room for growth.” ....
