BI names category of aliens that can enter PH starting May 1

“This was in compliance with the ruling of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Infectious Diseases allowing the return to the country of foreign students, investors and workers,” said BI Commissioner Jaime Morente.
Likewise, the BI chief said foreign nationals qualified under the Balikbayan Program may also avail of the entry privilege.
Morente said, however, that passengers coming from India, or those who have travel history with that country during the last 14 days were still barred from coming in a bid to stop the entry here of a highly infectious variant of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). ....

In a bid to encourage Filipinos itching to travel after almost a year in lockdown to rediscover their own backyard, the Philippines’ Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has announced new travel protocols.
In an online media briefing on 27 February, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that under the IATF Resolution No. 101, the IATF approved uniform travel protocols for land, sea, and air travel crafted by the Department of Interior and Local Government with closed coordination with local government units.

MANILA, Philippines The travel restriction covering 36 countries with recorded cases of new variants of COVID-19 will be lifted effective tomorrow, Malacañang said yesterday.
“On Feb. 1, we will go back to our old status quo before we even implemented the travel restrictions,” Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said over dzMM radio.
The countries covered by existing travel restrictions are Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, Australia, Israel, the Netherlands, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Switzerland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Lebanon, Singapore, Sweden, South Korea, South Africa, Canada,  Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, Portugal, India, Finland, Norway, Jordan, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Hungary, China, Pakistan, Jamaica, Luxemborg, Oma ....
