Chris Pappas and Annie Kuster but none of them receive a large vote of confidence, a new poll shows.The University of New Hampshire Survey Center’s latest poll, released Friday, shows Sen. Jeanne Shaheen with the strongest favorable rating among the four Democratic members of the state’s congressional delegation. Shaheen won her race for a third term comfortably in November. That s according to the latest Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. And while the reliability of political polling is currently in question, it s hard to dispute that President Joe Biden is enjoying a New Hampshire honeymoon.
The survey finds 55 percent of Granite Staters and 98 (!) percent of Democrats approve of the job Biden s doing. Just 30 percent of the state s voters disapprove.

The survey also shows 59 percent of the state approves of how he s dealing with COVID-19, and 55 percent are either enthusiastic or satisfied with the fact Biden was elected president. All in all, pretty good numbers for Joe. ....

EXETER – The Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce invites its members and the community to the 2021 Economic Forecast on Thursday, February 11.
The event will take place from 8 to 9:30 a.m. virtually on the Zoom platform. The forum’s presenters include Andrew Smith, director of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, and Liz Gray, state director for the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center.

Portsmouth's McIntyre building public input kicks off


PORTSMOUTH Portsmouth Listens hosted 160 attendees remotely Wednesday night for its virtual “McIntyre Project 101” opening session. It was the first in a series of events aimed at compiling public dialogue and opinion on how best to redevelop the long-sought-after Thomas J. McIntyre federal building property on Daniel Street.
Partnering with members of the McIntyre Subcommittee, city officials and Principle Group, a Boston-based urban design architectural firm charged with developing sketch proposals of the McIntyre property based on the results of public dialogue, Portsmouth Listens co-founder Jim Noucas said the road to beginning the public input process has been a long time coming. ....

As the first allotments of vaccines were distributed across the country this week, neighboring states broadcast who the first recipients would be.
Vermont Gov. Phil Scott informed the public on Monday that 1,950 doses were split between the State Vaccine Depot and the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington to be given to front line medical workers.
Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services published a comprehensive list showing nearly 6,000 doses going to seven hospitals during the first week of rollout. Maine, which has a similar population as New Hampshire but is nearly four times the size in geographic area, named each facility receiving Pfizer doses. State officials announced that during the second week about 3,000 more Pfizer does would be handed out, along with 22,000 Moderna vaccine shots going to nearly every medical facility in the state. ....
