UF professor's children's book on Shirley Chisholm nominated for NAACP award

Katheryn Russell-Brown s latest storybook, SHE WAS THE FIRST! The Trailblazing Life of Shirley Chisholm, has been named a finalist for the 2021 NAACP Image Awards. It is her second nomination by the organization, making her children s books two for three as recognized outstanding literature.
