Former Barrington day care worker charged with child battery Annmarie Dziedzic Updated 3/4/2021 5:38 PM A former employee at a church-run Barrington day care was held on $50,000 bail Thursday on charges she carried toddlers by their arms and ankles, pushed one boy s face into the ground and threw shoes at a girl. Annmarie Dziedzic, 36, is charged with multiple counts of aggravated battery to a child.
According to Barrington police, the charges stem from several incidents that occurred at the Lutheran Church of Atonement in Barrington where Dziedzic was employed as a child care worker. Prosecutors say the instances occurred between June 2020 and February 2021. The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services initiated an investigation on Feb. 4 after receiving an anonymous tip. Police and the church initiated investigations in conjunction with DCFS, police said. Dziedzic no longer works at the facility. ....

Dyer-Webster joins the Let It Be Us board with over 30 years of child welfare experience, including more than 25 years with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Currently, she is a Management Consultant on Child Welfare Practice at Public Knowledge. Dyer-Webster holds a Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a master s in social work from the University of Chicago. BARRINGTON, Ill. (WLS) A childcare worker from a Barrington church has been charged with battering children on several occasions, police said Thursday. Ann Marie Dziedzic, 36, of Barrington faces one count of aggravated battery of a child and five counts of aggravated battery in a church. An investigation was launched Feb. 4 after an anonymous tip was sent to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Barrington police said. ....
