Fort Lee accident: Ice cream truck falls 20 feet down Palisades cliffs

An ice cream truck fell 20 feet down an embankment off of Henry Hudson Drive Thursday afternoon in Fort Lee, police said.
The driver lost control of the truck, which belongs to Lexylicious Ice Cream, shortly after 4 p.m. while heading north on the cliffside road, said Sergeant Raymond Walker of the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department.
The truck fell down the Palisades clif Hudson River, crashing into a thicket of trees before landing on its side.
The driver, a 22-year-old from Toms River, was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. He was brought to Hackensack University Medical Center after complaining of head and neck pain. ....
