A Boerne man accused of injuring his 4-month-old daughter by throwing her against the ceiling in anger has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Sonny Ozuna was arrested Feb. 2, 2017, on a charge of causing serious bodily injury to a child. On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to the offense in state District Court and was sentenced. ....

Omobola Afolayan, 40, is a protector. Afolayan moved to Indianapolis from Nigeria in 2019 with her husband and two sons, now 9 and 12, to live a life without persecution. Her family is Christian and with the rise of Boko Haram, an Islamist group that has killed thousands of people and displaced millions, Omobola made the decision to come to the United States to find safety and peace.
