Marxism has taken over Christianity | The Spectator Australia

Australia cannot ignore reality any longer: an unhealthy relationship has formed between Marxist activism and the Christian church. Whether it be through the content of our school systems or the sermons of increasingly woke popes, it is the church that has allowed itself to be subdued by predatory politics.
These unlikely bedfellows are not a recent hookup. Christianity and collectivism have an entwined history – particularly in Europe. The West has endured Romantic Socialism, Christian Socialism, and Christian Communism; each liaison more dangerous than the last.
These movements surrounded themselves with prominent religious figures who had been toying with collectivist ideas from at least the fourteen hundreds onward. They were drawn to the utopian ideals put forward by collectivist philosophers and dreamed of a life free of the poverty and death that pervaded Europe during those years of war, famine, and plague.  ....

Useful Idiots: 'Pro-Life Evangelicals' for Biden

In the 2020 elections, a group of self-deceived “evangelicals” became stooges for one of the grossest lies in political history.
Today in an attempt to save face they made themselves all the more shameful by attempting to justify in retrospect a decision that anyone could have told them was foolish from the start.
Not merely content with playing the rubes in 2020 they have a website that is still actively “recruiting” members even now.
The best advice they could be given is to simply stop. Stop talking. Stop allowing themselves to be made the fools. And to stop casting their pearls before swine. They have injured their own reputations. They have injured the witness of the evangelical church. They have actively contributed to the advancement of child-killing. And they have dragged the name of Christ through the deaths of those kids, all while pursuing their foolish ends. ....

Is Your Bookshelf Racist?

February 23, 2021
My dream has always been to live in a house full of books. I saw one of those rolling library-ladders in a movie when I was a kid and always dreamed of riding on one someday. My dad is a professor, and I loved visiting his office and looking at all the books on his shelf. They signified a curiosity for truth and an arrival at maturity.
Growing up, I collected my own bookshelves and occasionally just stare at the books on them for inspiration.
My books have surrounded me, comforted me and helped me interpret life.
As a Christian, my books have also helped me make sense of Christ. They’ve taught me truths of the Bible and aided in interpreting tricky chapters or books. As I crossed the stage and took a degree in theology at graduation, I was fairly confident in my beliefs in large part because of the books on my bookshelf. ....
