The Allegheny County Health Department announced Tuesday it will be opening three more sites by the end of the month to administer the COVID-19 vaccine. All sites will be by appointment only. The county schedules appointments through Allegheny Alerts and on its COVID Vaccine Page. Residents without internet access can call 2-1-1 for help scheduling an appointment.
The health department is partnering with the University of Pittsburgh to administer vaccines at the Petersen Events Center beginning tomorrow, March 17, through the end of next week. Second dose appointments will be provided at the same location. Free parking will be available at the garage at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum off of Bigelow Boulevard with free shuttles running between the garage and the Peterson Event Center. A parking lot near the center will also be available with limited spots for those who
