Among the commitments, Unilever will not digitally alter a person s body shape, size, proportion, or skin color in its brand advertising - a move already started by Dove in previous years. Unilever has announced it will eliminate the word ‘normal’ from all beauty and personal care brands’ packaging and advertising, as part of the launch of a new ‘Positive Beauty’ program, which is set to transform “how products are designed and formulated so that they do more good for both people and the planet, deliver a superior product experience, and tap into consumer trends.”
The company asked 10,000 consumers in nine countries about their experience with the beauty industry and found that seven out of ten people agree that using the word ‘normal’ on product packaging and advertising has a negative impact. For the group aged 18-35, numbers rose to eight out of ten. The study also found that 74% of respondent ....

Unilever announced a new annual global sales target of €1 billion from plant-based meat and dairy alternatives, within the next five to seven years, and new commitments to raise nutrition standards and address food waste.
The growth will be driven by the roll-out of The Vegetarian Butcher as well as increasing vegan alternatives from global brands including Knorr, Hellmann s, Magnum and Wall s.
