BOSTON (April 21, 2021) – The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) and the Department of Public Health (DPH) today announced a $720,000 grant award to the national organization Young People in Recovery for the development of statewide support programs for young adults recovering from substance addiction.
With this funding, Young People in Recovery will develop, build, and maintain seven recovery support networks strategically positioned in areas of critical need throughout the Commonwealth, providing young people ages 18-25 the life skills and peer supports they need to recover from opioid use, stimulant use, or other substance use disorders and co-oc ....

Benton County has had 2,281 positive COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic, adding 41 cases over the past week. This is half the number of cases added the previous week, mirroring a similar decline in confirmed cases across the state. Oregon reported roughly between 200-400 cases per day this past week, compared to between 300-550 the week before.
While case rates, hospitalizations, and death rates in the U.S. are continuing to decrease since the height of the peak in January, the nation added over 362,000 confirmed cases to its case total last week and over 11,000 deaths occurred due to the virus. This brings the U.S. total case count up to almost 28,800,000 and the death toll to just under 523,000. ....

Lincoln County enters 'extreme risk' category this week

Lincoln County Public Health reported 131 new cases of COVID-19 between Nov. 29 and Dec. 10.
With a few days left in the two-week reporting period, the Lincoln County case rate had already surpassed the level to enter âextreme riskâ of the Governorâs COVID-19 framework. As of December 18 Lincoln County joins most of the state in the extreme risk category.
During each two-week reporting period if Lincoln County has 97 confirmed and presumptive cases then the county will be in the extreme risk category. The extreme risk threshold is set at a rate of 200 cases per 100,000 people. In addition to the rise in cases, Lincoln County has also had six people in local hospitals last week with the virus. ....
