Through Thursday, Central District Health was reporting 39,529 confirmed cases and 7,603 probable cases in Ada County. Health and Welfare, however, showed Ada County with 39,988 confirmed cases and 7,165 probable cases.
“We recently recognized a data-entry issue wherein some probable cases related to antigen test results were entered into the state’s system by CDH as confirmed,” district spokesperson Christine Myron wrote in an email to the Idaho Statesman. “We are working to reconcile this, and as we continue to do so, the confirmed cases on the state’s site will come down, and the number of probable cases will go up. ....

Idaho gets more vaccine doses starting next week; state adds more than 1,100 COVID-19 cases

Jan. 16 Despite news that states won t be receiving a promised release of second vaccine doses, Idaho health officials said the state will start receiving a slight increase in the overall number of doses from the federal government next week.
Idaho will begin receiving about 950 extra doses starting next week, state health officials said, for a total of 20,950 doses each week for the forseeable future. That s about a 2%-5% increase.
Along with other states, Idaho is requesting more accurate, timely, and forward-looking estimates of doses Idaho will receive from the federal government, Idaho Department of Health and Welfare spokesperson Niki Forbing-Orr wrote in a Friday email statement. After slow holiday week, Idaho COVID-19 cases jump to more than 1,500 on Tuesday

Dec. 30 After several days of relatively low numbers of reported COVID-19 cases, Idaho s new confirmed and probable caseload leapt to more than 1,500 cases on Tuesday.
Idaho health officials reported 1,130 confirmed cases of COVID-19 statewide on Tuesday and 416 probable cases, for a total of 1,546 new cases. The uptick in reported cases comes as the state s daily case count, moving averages and other key metrics such as test positivity rate have been declining.
Ada County alone reported 471 new confirmed COVID-19 cases Tuesday as officials with Boise-based Central District Health work to clear a backlog of data dating back several weeks.
