Puducherry Polls 2021: BJP releases list of 9 candidates
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released a list of 9 candidates for the Puducherry Assembly elections 2021. On Sunday, the party had released a list of 27 and 36 candidates for the third and fourth phases of assembly elections in West Bengal.
Puducherry will go to the polls in a single phase on April 6. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.

Assembly Elections are to be held for 294 seats in West Bengal, 234 seats in Tamil Nadu, 140 seats in Kerala, 126 seats in Assam and 30 seats in Puducherry. The election in Puducherry will be held to elect 30 MLAs.

New Delhi, Mar 14: BJP on Sunday announced names of 27 candidates for the third phase of election and 38 candidates for the fourth phase, for the poll-bound West Bengal.
Babul Supriyo We are announcing the names of 27 candidates for the third phase and 38 candidates for the fourth phase of polls in West Bengal. Economist Ashok Lahiri will contest from Alipurduar, and Rabindranath Bhattacharya from Singur, said BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh.
The BJP has fielded former chief economic adviser to the government Ashok Lahiri from the Alipurduar seat, Union Minister Babul Supriyo from Tollygunge, and Swapan Dasgupta from the Tarakeshwar Assembly segment.

Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released a list of 27 candidates for the third phase and a list of 38 candidates for the fourth phase of assembly elections in West Bengal.
Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta and Union Minister Babul Supriyo are also in the poll fray this time. Actor-turned-politician and sitting MP Locket Chatterjee has been fielded from Chunchura and another MP Nishit Parmanik from Dinhata.

Bharatiya Janata Party s Central Election Committee is scheduled to hold a meeting today to finalise a list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls, sources said. BJP Central Election Committee to hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss the names of candidates for the upcoming Assembly polls in 4 states and one UT, sources said.
Initial discussion to shortlist names of the party candidates for the upcoming West Bengal Assembly polls started at BJP chief JP Nadda s residence on Thursday.
Senior leaders from the state, party in-charge and co-in-charge for West Bengal attended the meeting. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also reached Nadda s residence.
