Stuart Duncan, 93, died peacefully at his home on April 30th, 2021. Born in 1927 in New York City, he began his schooling at St. Bernards and Trinity. At age 14, he moved to Ridgefield, Ct and finished his preparatory education at Wooster School in Danbury. As so many did during that time, he deferred his admittance to Princeton University to serve in the US Navy during WWII, returning to his education in 1946.
When he graduated in 1950, he had already embarked on three associations that would last him his lifetime. He had begun ushering at Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton, a relationship that would endure for 70 years; he had developed a bond with his university that led to decades of happy service as a Marshall at the P-Rade, culminating in his years as Grand Marshall . He commissioned the Frank T. Gorman ceremonial mace in 1979 to honor his good friend’s prior service. Stuart was the first to carry it in 1980 and it has been carr ....

Roslyn Denard, a long time resident of Princeton, died at the age of 96 on December 31
st at Stonebridge in Skillman, NJ.
Roz was born and raised in Brooklyn New York and graduated with a degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She was married to her loving husband, Norman, of 73 years.  Norm and Roz moved to Princeton in the early 50’s where they created a wonderful home for their 3 children.
In 1962 Roz started working at the Princeton Packet, selling classified ads over the phone and retired 32 years later as General Manager of the group of 13 regional newspapers. Throughout her tenure with the Packet her business passion never waned. ....

Forty nine years ago this month, my sweet father John van Raalte made one of my wishes come true, and it involved The Princeton Packet.

Princeton Planning Board approves redevelopment of former Packet building for medical offices and retail space ·

The Princeton Planning Board voted unanimously on Thursday night to approve plans for 300 Witherspoon Street, the former site of the Princeton Packet newspaper.
Resident Helena May, who bought the property and other Parket properties adjacent to the main building in 2016 for $5.4 million, is converting the space into medical offices on the first and second floors, along with retail on the first floor. Homestead Princeton, an independent gift, furniture, and home décor store, is already the retail tenant in the new first-floor retail space.
Capital Health is slated to be the anchor tenant in the office space. A spokesperson for Capital Health told Planet Princeton in June that the Hopewell-based hospital system plans to open primary care offices at the site and will offer same-day appointments for chronic and well care for children and adults. Up to seven full-time physicians could work at the site. Capital H ....
