WOONSOCKET – Woonsocket City Clerk Christina Harmon-Duarte is facing questions after she was seen drinking beer during a City Council meeting Wednesday night.

Last Monday, Dec. 7, Councilor James Cournoyer, pictured, encouraged city officials to invoke state law and tear down two walls at the corners of the intersection. The law allows the city building official to declare a structure “unsafe” if it poses a danger “to human life or public health, safety, and welfare.”
“I think from my perspective, our building official could and should declare or make a finding that that wall creates a blind spot both exiting Walnut Hill, as well as when you’re driving down Diamond Hill,” he said. ....
