McDonald and Dodds season 3: Will there be another series?

As of yet, McDonald and Dodds hasn t been renewed for a third season.
When talking to press, including Express.co.uk, Gouveia and Watkins did say how they would like to do more episodes.
Gouveia said: We re all really keen to do another one and they ve [the writers] have been knocking around some ideas for stories and stuff.
But we have to see if people are watching it!

Watkins is probably one of Britain s most recognisable and diverse actors.
He has starred in a plethora of shows over the years, including Trollied, The Crown, Des, Hold the Sunset, The Lost
Honour of Christopher Jefferies and Line of Duty.
So it didn t come as too much of a surprise when McDonald and Dodds turned out to be a hit with Watkins co-leading the cast.
Even though the 54-year-old portrays a detective who is more accustomed to a life of puzzles and train spotting, Watkins can relate to his character on various levels.

McDonald and Dodds season 2: What is DS Dodds' first name?

While he is the co-star of McDonald and Dodds, it is unclear what his first name is.
Throughout the series, the detective is simply known as Dodds and in typical police fashion, everyone refers to each other by their surname.
This makes Dodds even more mysterious as we learn early on his colleague McDonald and boss Houseman s first names are Lauren and House respectively.

In terms of his acting career, Kemp is probably best known for playing Steve Owen in EastEnders but music-wise, he is the bassist for pop band Spandau Ballet.
Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, Kemp said co-star Kensit was one of the main reasons he wanted to be part of the show.
He explained: “You know Patsy [Kensit] and I have grown up together and we spent a lot of time in Los Angeles where we were there at the same time and so many people over the years tried to put me and Patsy together into a movie, into something they were making. ....
