LAHORE/KARACHI: A slanging match has started between the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party after the latter won the NA-249, Karachi by-election.
The PML-N Friday rejected the election results and demanded that the Election Commission should withhold the results. In her Twitter messages, PML-N Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif said the election had become disputed, as it was stolen.
She said voter turnout was barely 15-18%, while the counting process continued even after eight and a half hours. “Did fog spread in NA-249 or the staff arrived late?” she asked and demanded the Election Commission to stop the results of the controversial election. ....

ISLAMABAD: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday lashed out at Prime Minister Imran Khan, urging the judiciary to take notice of former DG FIA Bashir Memon s statements about the premier.
Memon had said on Geo News programme Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath that PM Imran Khan had pressurised him to book Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Opposition leaders in different cases.
Never before in Pakistan s history has a sitting prime minister, regardless of whether he is fake or an imposed one, been involved in such serious crimes, she said, referring to former DG FIA Bashir Memon s allegations. ....

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz said Tuesday the PTI-led government is a curse on people, as she criticised it for not handling the coronavirus situation in the right manner.
We want this curse (incumbent government) to end .. we can bear them, but people cannot, the PML-N vice president said while addressing a press conference alongside the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider and other party leaders.
Speaking about O/A Level exams, Maryam said the government had put students lives at risk by conducting the examinations at a time when the coronavirus situation is worsening in the country. ....

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif has claimed that she smells a conspiracy regarding occupied Kashmir, saying that if something is about to happen then the parliament and Kashmiris do not know.
Addressing a press conference, Maryam Nawaz said that if there is any conspiracy regarding occupied Kashmir, we will not allow it to happen alleging that Incompetent government has ruined the country. The present government is a great curse for Pakistan, she added.
PML-N leader said that she would run an election campaign in Azad Kashmir. The victory of PML-N in these elections is certain adding that she wants to end this curse forever. ....
