Wolfwalkers follows an English girl, Robyn Goodfellowe, who befriends Mebh, a member of a tribe rumored to have the ability to transform into wolves. To design Mebh and Robyn s wolf forms, the team, led by two-time Oscar-nominated director Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart, started with a generic wolf and aimed to reflect each girl in her wolf persona. The central choice we decided on since the beginning was to keep the eyes the same as their human form, both in shape and color, with some minor adjustments, says character posing artist Federico Pirovano. CLEVELAND, Ohio The Cleveland Institute of Art’s Cinematheque beginning Jan. 1 will be screening a powerful and apt modern adaptation of Sophocles’ “Antigone.”
The tragedy is set in Montreal, where an Algerian refugee family’s 17-year-old daughter fights against law and authority. Sophie Deraspe’s film was the winner of five 2020 Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Motion Picture and Best Actress.
Also on Jan. 1, Cleveland Cinemas (Cedar Lee, the Capitol and Chagrin Cinemas) is screening “Stand!,” which is directed by Robert Adetuyi. ....

CLEVELAND, Ohio In the spirit of “Mr. Mom,” director Ludovic Bernard’s new comedy “10 Days with Dad” finds a corporate dad over his head when his wife goes on holiday leaving him responsible for the house and their four kids.
Beginning on Dec. 25, Cleveland Cinemas (Cedar Lee, the Capitol and Chagrin Cinemas) is screening the French family movie, which stars Franck Dubosc, Aure Atika and Alice David.
Also on Dec. 25, the Cleveland Institute of Art’s Cinematheque will be offering veteran Polish animator Mariusz Wilczynski’s debut feature, “Kill It and Leave This Town” from its virtual screening room. ....
