JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Dozens of teachers from both Westside and Nettleton School Districts filled the gym at Fellowship Jonesboro Thursday, all of them lining up to receive the COVID vaccine.
This comes days after Jonesboro pharmacies were delayed in beginning Phase 1-B of the state’s vaccine rollout plan. Woodsprings Pharmacy received their doses Tuesday, with 975 vaccines distributed between five pharmacies.
Lacey Hoggard, Operations Manager at Woodsprings, says the pharmacy was glad to help teachers and those over 70 when the vaccines started to roll in. ....

Mangaluru Jan 22: Nine students have been arrested in connection to a ragging incident that took place at a private college, informed police commissioner N Shashi Kumar.
Addressing media here on Friday January 22, he said, “The arrested students are Jishnu (20), Shrikanta P V (20), Ashwanth (20), Sayanth (22), Abhirath Rajiv (21), Rahul P (21), Jishnu (20), Mukhthar Ali (19) and Mohammed Razeem (20), who are second year and final year students hailing from Kerala.
“The victim, hailing from Kasargod, was a first year student who recently got admitted to the college here. The victim and his batch mate were constantly ragged by nine students. Covid-19 vaccine rollout in Georgia awaits more doses


ATLANTA — Georgia officials overseeing the state’s COVID-19 vaccine program are awaiting word from the new Biden administration on whether more doses will head their way amid an early shortage.
Pharmacies and health clinics had given out more than 550,000 doses to Georgia nursing homes, hospitals and people at least 65 years old as of Thursday, marking roughly half of the vaccines Georgia has received so far, said state Public Health Commissioner Dr. Kathleen Toomey.
That’s far short of the 2 million Georgians now eligible for the vaccine who will need two doses each.
Gov. Brian Kemp said officials will move “as quickly as we can” to distribute vaccines if Georgia’s current allotment of 120,000 doses per week increases with the new president. ....

Assisted living facility worries they're "falling through the cracks" of vaccine rollout


As Wisconsin moves forward with vaccines for group 1B, some people in the 1A category are worried they may fall through the cracks for vaccination.
