City hall in Farmington Hills slashed energy use with green design


“Tubes are put in the ground and they get the heat from the ground into the building as water and that runs to the heat pumps. Early voting is underway in San Antonio for high-profile races, including the mayor, City Council, a proposition aimed at repealing police officers’ collective bargaining power and a proposition that could expand the use of bonds.
Election Day is set for May 1, but locals can submit a ballot now through April 27 during the early voting period.
Hours for early voting will be:
Monday, April 19-Friday, April 23: 8 a.m.-6 p.m.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA Ruby was being a Hawthorne hero, a kindergartener at Hawthorne Elementary School told a camera, referring to Ruby Bridges, the young girl who desegregated a Louisiana elementary school and was the subject of a famous 1964 Norman Rockwell painting.
This six-year-old was just one of many Beverly Hills students who recently shared their experiences learning about Black History Month in school. At Tuesday night s school board meeting, five students in grades three to five told the board about the different Black heroes they ve learned about in school.
