Boebert wins in court, can block people on Twitter


A judge in Colorado s 10th Circuit has ruled in favor of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Silt, in a lawsuit over blocking constituents on Twitter.
Judge Daniel Domenico turned down a request for a preliminary injunction against Boebert filed by former state Rep. Bri Buentello, a Pueblo Democrat, whom Boebert had blocked from her personal Twitter account, which she uses for announcements related to her congressional activities.
Buentello criticized Boebert for remarks Boebert made on Twitter during the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, which got her blocked from Boebert s personal account.
The ruling takes a different turn than those against other state and federal officials, including former President Donald Trump, who was sued for blocking constituents on his personal Twitter account. Senate OKs expansion of jump start program


Under the existing Rural Jump Start Grant Program, unique businesses that locate in economically distressed regions of the state can qualify for special sales and income tax breaks.
Under a bill that won approval in the Colorado Senate on Wednesday, new startups that locate in those same areas also can qualify for part of $3 million in special state grants in over the next two years to help them establish operations.
That measure, SB229, links two existing programs — Rural Jump Start and the Just Transition Office — to help create more business opportunities in those areas of the state that need assistance getting started, its supporters say. ....
