If a shameful act means an action which is criminal and nauseating, it would be an understatement to describe the attitude of the present RSS-BJP rulers of India towards the demolition of democracy and large-scale killing of the people of Myanmar by the military (
tatmadaw) junta which took power through a coup on February 1, 2021 after renegading the election results in which the party of Aung San Suu Kyi, National League for Democracy, was a clear winner.
The ruthless rule by the military in Myanmar (formerly Burma) is not a new phenomenon. Last time it lasted almost for five decades, from 1962 to 2011, and now has resumed in 2021. ....

A breakthrough could be in the offing as China lends support to an Asean-led initiative to de-escalate the situation in Myanmar and bring warring parties to a dialogue. Last week, foreign ministers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines flew to Nanping in southeastern Fujian province to meet Foreign Minister Wang Yi. ....

With refugees escaping to neighbouring countries such as India and Thailand, Myanmar is seeing a bloody turn to its coup where a crackdown by the military (junta) has seen more than 100 protesters and citizens allegedly shot down.
These crackdowns have now seen the rise of armed rebel groups which have threatened to fight back the military if their violent crackdowns do not end. This comes after the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), a monitoring group, released a report stating that the Myanmar security forces have killed at least 510 people since February 1, when the coup officially started. ....
