UNITED NATIONS (AP) A senior U.S. diplomat urged the U.N. Security Council on Thursday to press Myanmar’s military to stop violence and restore democracy, warning that with COVID-19 surging and hunger increasing, “the longer we delay, the more people die.”

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, NEW YORK -Inggris memperingatkan Dewan Keamanan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB) bahwa setengah dari 54 juta penduduk Myanmar dapat terinfeksi  Covid-19 dalam dua minggu ke depan.
“Kudeta telah mengakibatkan sistem kesehatan hamper lumpuh, dan petugas kesehatan diserang serta ditangkap,” kata Duta Besar Inggris untuk PBB Barbara Woodward, dalam diskusi informal Dewan Keamanan tentang Myanmar, Kamis ( 29/7). ....
