Rogues’ Gallery: An Irreverent History of Corruption in South Africa, from the VOC to the ANC, is a comedic map of “dodgy dealings” in South Africa from when the country’s history was first written down.
In a
Daily Maverick webinar hosted by journalist Marianne Thamm on Thursday, the authors discussed their book and its characters, and pondered if corruption in South Africa will ever come to an end. 

Extensively researched by its writers,
Rogues’ Gallery “adds to a body of work which presents an understanding for us of what corruption actually is”, commented Thamm. And unless one attempts to understand the forces that drive corruption in South Africa, there is no way to mitigate it, she said.  ....

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, will present its annual Meet the Artist new play reading series on Wednesdays, May 5, 12, 19 and 26. All readings will take place on Zoom at 7 pm, and require advance registration.

(SUMMIT, NJ) Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre will present its annual Meet the Artist new play reading series on Wednesdays, May 5, 12, 19 and 26. All readings will take place on Zoom at 7:00pm, and require advance registration. The new play reading series is a chance for the audience to participate in the development of new works, both to hear the plays read by professional actors and also to discuss the projects with the playwright, director and actors afterward. There will be an opportunity for the audience to provide feedback to the team after every performance.  ....
