ALBANY A vaccination clinic for people with developmental disabilities has been scheduled for this weekend in Albany, a group of providers who organized the event announced Friday.
The clinic will be held Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at SEFCU’s Patroon Creek Corporate Center, located at 700 Patroon Creek Blvd. It is open by appointment only to people with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other intellectual and development disabilities who live in the eight-county Capital Region. ....

Doha: Qatar Airways has held its 12th annual simulated Disabled Aircraft Recovery (QDAR) Exercise on a grounded Airbus A340-600 aircraft using the airline’s state-of-the-art Aircraft Recovery Kit, at Doha International Airport.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - South Carolina officials announced the state will move to phase 1b of its vaccine distribution plan on Monday, March 8.
This will allow roughly 2.7 million people in the state to get the vaccine, officials said.
It includes teachers, essential workers, and everyone 55 and older. People at higher risk for severe COVID-19 disease because of medical conditions, or living or work conditions, are also included. ....

App to help disabled in accessibility battle | India News

NEW DELHI: The government is all set to launch the “Sugamya Bharat App” a crowdsourcing mobile application on Tuesday enabling persons with disabilities and others to register complaints if they find a public space, utility or building inaccessibile. People will be able to also upload photographs of such spaces and geo-tag the location of the premises for seeking onground intervention.
The application developed by the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities (DEPwD) under the ministry of social justice and empowerment will enable registered users to not only access information related to the guidelines and provisions on accessible buildings, transport and infratructure under the Accessible India Campaign and other related issues but they will also be able to raise their concerns related to accessibility. The users will be notified at the time of resolution and closure of their complaints. ....
