P-J file photo Jamestown’s annual “Turn the River Green” event will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Chadakoin River, at the JAMA Parking Lot. Last year’s event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this year precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of all residents. Those planning to attend the event are asked to wear a mask and social distance. Jamestown Mayor Eddie Sundquist said of the event, “Turning the River Green is a proud Jamestown tradition that we are happy to be continuing after last year’s cancellation. Due to the nature of the event being outdoors and the ability to easily socially distance, we thought that this was an excellent opportunity to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in a safe, responsible manner.” ....
