Takeout and delivery cocktails are finally here. These are our favourites


Project Gigglewater was one of the first spots in the city to go full throttle into take-out cocktails, concocting treasure boxes of ingredients for building your own at home. Now, you don’t have to do any of the work—simply pour the bar’s pre-mixed cocktails over ice in whatever cup you have on hand. Hits include a vodka-based drink that tastes like an After Eight, and the Pop It Like It’s Hot, with corn-pop-infused St. Remy brandy and Chartreuse. Each bottle contains about six servings.

To say 2020 was tough for Toronto’s restaurant and hospitality industry would be a vast understatement. 
Running a restaurant or a bar in good times involves thin margins, uncanny adaptiveness and flexibility and this year stretched owners and staff to their absolute limit.
We lost many favourite spots that were integral to their neighbourhoods. Community hubs with storied local histories like Furama Bakery in Chinatown, Apiecalypse Now! in Koreatown and Cold Tea in Kensington Market, will be sorely missed.
