County supervisors approve fee waiver for restaurants, bars
Yolo County will waive food safety inspection fees on a sliding-scale basis for restaurants and bars that have lost more than 25 percent of their revenue due to the pandemic.
The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to waive the annual fees, which range from $410 for bars to $789 for restaurants and $931 for restaurant/bar combinations.
The county will cover the cost of inspections with General Fund revenue of up to $200,000 and businesses that qualify and have already paid their fee for the year will be reimbursed.

COVID-19 cases in Yolo County are rising at rates never before seen, the county’s two hospitals are full and nine new deaths were reported on Tuesday.
The only spot of good news: the promise of a vaccine, which is expected to arrive in limited numbers in Yolo County later this week.
