Complaints of postal workers lead to mandatory retraining

Man, if you’re too rude for New Jersey, you must be really rude. That’s the allegation against two postal workers in Cresskill, a situation that resulted in Congressional intervention. The two clerks treated customers so poorly that a petition was started that garnered 300 signatures and finally came to the attention of US Representative Bill Pascrell.
According to NorthJersey.com, Pascrell was given the petition at a recent town hall event and he promptly contacted US Postal officials. The petition complained about the “constant belligerence, unprofessionalism, an uncooperative nature, a lack of common courtesy, and disrespectful behavior of the two clerks. ....

CRESSKILL Christine Olmo lives only a short walk from the post office on Washington Street. However, she plans to use the post offices in the nearby towns of Closter and Tenafly until two clerks at the local branch are held accountable for their allegedly rude treatment of customers.
“I don’t really go in there anymore,” said Olmo, who has been inside once in the past year. “It’s unfortunate that it’s come down to people wanting these people removed or reprimanded or something … I think people have taken as much as they can handle.”
It turns out those clerks will be getting mandatory retraining, according to U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., after he contacted U.S. postal officials immediately after receiving a petition signed by 300 people, including Olmo, seeking redress for complaints of “constant belligerence, unprofessionalism, an uncooperative nature, a lack of common courtesy, and disrespectful behavior from the clerks. ....

North Carolina CEO Sues Over ‘Faulty’ Windows, Doors in $16M Home
January 6, 2021
The CEO of a marketing and technology company has gone to court over what he says are faulty custom-made steel-and-glass windows and doors in his $16 million Charlotte home.
Ric Elias, CEO and co-founder of Red Ventures, and his wife, Brenda, are suing the 24,500-square-foot house’s Charlotte architect and builder, along with the manufacturer of the doors and windows. They are seeking to cover the replacement cost of what the lawsuit describes as faulty products that fog up and have deteriorated, The Charlotte Observer reported last month.
The doors and windows added $1.2 million to the house’s price tag, according to the lawsuit, more than four times the cost of an average home in Charlotte. ....
