Breeze Airways Breeze Airways is a new low-cost carrier from JetBlue founder David Neeleman. Its first flight is scheduled for May 27 and new routes will come each week through the end of July. Breeze hopes to differentiate itself by running underserved routes and offering things other low-cost carriers don t. Considering that US airlines lost more than $35 billion in 2020 and experts say it will take at least two more years for the industry to fully recover, now doesn t seem like the ideal time to launch a new carrier.
