Compulsory government service: HC relief for medical students in Karnataka

In a relief to a section of postgraduate medical students, the High Court of Karnataka has said that the Karnataka Compulsory Service Training by Candidates Completed Medical Courses Act, 2012, is applicable only to students who joined postgraduate medical degree/diploma courses from the academic year 2018-19 onwards.
The compulsory public service is not applicable to those admitted to PG medical degree/diploma courses during the academic years 2016-17 and 2017-18 as they were not made aware of the implementation of the Act, which came into force in July 2017, and no bonds as per its provisions were executed by those students. ....

T-Mobile's 5G Plan: Increase Speeds, Expand Network by 2024

T-Mobile laid out some bold plans regarding the expansion of its 5G network during avirtual event with analysts today.

According to The Verge, those plans include covering 90% of Americans (roughly 300 million people) with faster mid-band and mmWave service by the end of 2023, and 97% with slower low-band 5G by the end of 2022. Currently, 125 million T-Mobile customers are covered by its Ultra Capacity plan, which includes mid-band and mmWave, and 287 million are covered by its Extended Range plan, or low-band 5G plan.
Those who are already on T-Mobile’s Ultra Capacity plan will see their speeds increase from 300 Mbps up to 400 Mbps this year, thanks in part to the spectrum T-Mobile acquired when it merged with Sprint. Medical entrance exam NEET for under graduate admissions on August 1

NEW DELHI: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to undergraduate medical courses will be conducted on August 1, the Ministry of Education s National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Friday.
The NEET (UG), 2021, is going to be conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses as per the relevant norms, guidelines and regulations notified by the regulatory bodies concerned.
The exam will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English, through pen and paper mode on August 1, the NTA said in an official notification.
Bulletin containing detailed information regarding the test, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, categorisation of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, state code will be available shortly when the submission of the application form for NEET (UG) starts, it added. ....
