One of the premier agricultural events of the year, the show was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regina Exhibition Association Limited announced the event is a go in 2021 but it’s moving virtual. “We were hoping to be able to do something in an in-person fashion but with what we’re seeing with COVID-19 and the challenges we’re facing across Canada, it just wasn’t realistic,” said REAL CEO Tim Reid. ....
“Last year was a difficult year for everyone, globally,” said Tim Reid, president and CEO of REAL. “We saw a number of our events get cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, one of them being Canada’s Farm Show. This year, after seeing the way so many in our industry, including ourselves, having to adjust to this new normal, the advisory committe decided we could go ahead with Canada’s Farm Show in an adjusted capacity, recognizing the show’s importance within the Ag industry.” The two-day virtual event will take place on June 16 and 17 and has a stacked line-up of speakers and panels. The first day will focus on one of the show’s pillars, Innovation, and the state of the industry, while the second day will revolve around International Trade and Export. Both days will be filled with panels, keynotes, innovations showcase and the Ag Tech Challenge. The two-day event is free for all those who register. ....
