Crime and fire report: Angry driver hurls hamburger at vehicle in Detroit Lakes drive-thru On Thursday, June 24 at 3:31 p.m., at the Dairy Queen in Detroit Lakes, a vehicle budged in the drive-thru line. The caller said he told the budging driver to get to the back of the line. The driver of the budging vehicle went into the Dairy Queen and, upon exiting, threw a hamburger at the caller s vehicle. Suspect accuses victim of taking her drugs, hits, chokes victim; other police reports staff reports Sherman police Agg assault - On May 11, Sherman Police Department received a call from a victim who reported being assaulted by another white female in the 2600 block of Dripping Springs Road on May 10. The victim said the suspect accused her of taking her dope and assaulted her by striking her in the head, choking her, and holding a pocket knife to her head. An offense report was generated and the case remains under investigation. Abilene Fire Department: Rivercrest Drive blaze causes $20,000 damage Staff report Abilene Fire Department officials said a house fire Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Rivercrest Drive caused about $20,000 damage to a residence. Crews arrived at the single-family residence in west-central Abilene at about 1 p.m. to find smoke, the department said in a release. No one was home and the fire extinguished, the department said.
