DOMINIC A. BOOTH
Dominic Andrew Booth, 18, also known as Big Dom, of Millerstown died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Hershey Medical Center. He was a super hero, donating all of his organs through Gift of Life. He provided other families’ loved ones to have the opportunity to have a second chance at life.
He was born July 15, 2002, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, to Harold Jr. and JoAnn Marie (Thomas) Booth.
He completed his junior year at Greenwood High School. He loved playing video games on his computer, magic cards and playing with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed playing recreational soccer through Ickesburg and played on the Greenwood High School team. He was a member of Cub Pack 7 of Millerstown and Boy Scout Troop 7 of Youngs United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale. He worked at Hidden Valley Scout Camp, Loysville, for one summer. He loved his best friend Thomas Roschel from first grade. They were called “peanut butter and jelly.” They thought of themselves as siblings, as did their parents. Gracie King was his soulmate. They helped each other through everything and had a special bond. Gracie, Dominic and Dawn were the “three amigos.”

Bender has served in his current role for the past five years.
A native of Perry County, Bender lives in Saville Township with his wife Sarah and their two young children. They are expecting their third child this spring.
Bender is a graduate of West Perry High School, Lebanon Valley College and Villanova University School of Law. He began his legal career as a law clerk in the Court of Common Pleas of the 41st Judicial District. Before being elected District Attorney in 2015, Bender served as an assistant district attorney in Perry County and later as an attorney for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, where most of his time was spent on child abuse appeals.

Max Gibney, 58, of Shippensburg was charged with DUI through district court. He was driving a 2007 Mercury Milan when stopped by state police at 8:02 p.m., Oct. 13, on Route 34 in Oliver Twp.
Police said a stong odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle and multiple items of drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.
