Qatar’s stock market ended the week on a positive note as shares registered strong gains during the past four trading sessions. The Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) Index has surged by 91 points to close at 10,522.78 points yesterday from 10,431 on previous Thursday. The index remained largely flat yesterday as QE Index declined 5.74 or 0.05 percent on Thursday. It was a truncated week for stock market with only four trading sessions due to official holiday on Tuesday because of National Sport Day. On Wednesday, the QE Index rose 0.8 percent to close at 10,528.5. The index rose on the back of buying support from GCC, Arab and Foreign shareholders despite selling pressure from Qatari shareholders. The Industrials and Insurance indices led the gains. Al Khaleej Takaful Insurance Company and Qatari German Company for Medical Devices were the top gainers, rising 10 percent and 9 percent, respe ....

Shares had a good run last week with Qatar Stock Exchange (QE) Index soared around 235 points or 2.2 percent in the past five trading sessions. On Thursday, the QE Index gained 47.22 points or 0.43 percent to close at 10,913.83 points. Indices of five sectors ended in green zone and two sectors ended red zone today. The volume of shares traded decreased to 219 million from 270 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR546.8m from QR814.1m on Wednesday.
It was a remarkable week for the bourse as Shares of QLM were listed on the QSE on Wednesday, taking the total number of companies listed on the exchange to 48. QLM made a strong debut on the bourse as its share surged around 24 percent on the first day of trading at the Qatar Stock Exchange driven by strong investors demand. ....

Full list of places still open in Watford town centre in Tier 4


Watford may be under new Tier 4 measures along with London and swathes of the South East and East of England – but some places do remain open as usual.
Under the new tougher restrictions, non-essential retail must close, including clothing and homeware stores, betting shops, tailors, tobacco and vape shops, electronic goods and mobile phone shops.
The pandemic nightmare also continues for the hospitality sector, with cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars and social clubs having to stay closed under Tier 4.
They can, however, provide food and drink through takeaways until 11pm, click-and-collect, drive-through or delivery.
Following the new rules, Watford BID has compiled a list of where you are still able to visit in Watford Town Centre and where is only open for Takeaway/Click & Collect. ....
