HIGHLIGHTS Craft is a graduate of the College of Wooster with post-graduate work from both Kent State University and The University of Akron. He holds a master’s degree in art education from the University of Akron. Christopher Craft to present Brown Bag talk Margy Vogt Special to The Independent Christopher Craft will present the Massillon Museum’s next Brown Bag Lunch program, “African Americans in the U.S. Military,” which will air on MCTV channels 21 and 621 at noon Feb. 23. It can also be seen on YouTube (massmu.org/videos) and Facebook (facebook.com/massillonmuseum). “African Americans have a long, rich, and proud history of participation in America’s military, from the American Revolutionary War to today,” Craft said. He will introduce his presentation by recounting a personal conversation with a fellow participant during the filming of the 1989 movie “Glory.” The African American actor was not aware that men of color fought in the Civil War, a realization that was profound for him.
