History Spotlight: The Guy Emerson House Larry Michaels and Krista Michaels Columnists Guy Emerson House This recent photo shows the Emerson house at 203 Birchard Ave. on the southwest corner of Birchard and Bidwell behind the Paramount Theater. Amazingly, most Fremonters are unaware of the man who lived there. Guy Emerson was the world s greatest marksman in the early 1900s. He won three world-championship Wimbledon Cups and many other championship medals and trophies. Jim Weaver has written a detailed book about Emerson s career and life in Fremont with many historic photographs included.
