Updated: 4:06 PM EST Feb 12, 2021 Baltimore City State s Attorney Marilyn Mosby failed to disclose all of her out-of-town trips to the Board of Estimates, according to a report released Tuesday by the city s inspector general.Read the OIG reportThe OIG investigation found Mosby took 24 sponsored trips in 2018 and 2019 but had not submitted at least 15 of those trips to the Board of Estimates for approval.The report states the total cost for all the trips was almost $800 less than what she reported.The OIG also concluded that Mosby listed several gifts she received on her state financial disclosure form but did not provide a value.The report also states Mosby formed three companies in 2019 that did not generate any revenue but incurred more than $7,600 in expenses.The OIG said it s not within her power to determine whether Mosby fully complied with state ethics laws.Mosby s office said the state s attorney requested the investigation.The Baltimore City State s Attorne ....

BALTIMORE An investigation into State’s Attorney for Baltimore Marilyn Mosby’s travel and expenses showed that she was out of town for 144 days between 2018 and 2019, even as homicides soared in the city. Mosby is famously known for going after six Baltimore police officers in the custodial death of Freddie Gray. The officers were later exonerated of criminal charges and returned to work, Law Officer reported in 2017. City of Baltimore Inspector General Isabel Mercedes Cumming’s investigation found that Mosby, who has been in office since 2015, was “physically absent” from Baltimore for 85 days to attend 24 out-of-town events and traveled out of town for an additional 59 days over the same time 24-month period. ....
