Clinton and Laurens generosity steps to the forefront as Christmas approaches, through The Reindeer Run, Clinton Y Toys Drive, and Clinton High JROTC clothes and soliders-donations drives, among others.
The Laurens Y’s Reindeer Run raises money for scholarships (more photos from Dec. 12 event at MyClintonNews.com).
At the Clinton Y, the facility, Clinton Police, and CHS JROTC team up to purchase toys for distribution on Dec. 21.

Struck by Covid - But Still Champs | My Clinton News

On the day when COVID-19 vaccines rolled out across America, School District 56 honored two teams whose seasons were cut short by the deadly virus. The Clinton High School Robotics Team and Academic Bowl Team last spring won South Carolina Championships, qualifying them for National and International Championship competitions.
These events, like the Science Olympiad in which Clinton Middle School is the reigning SC Champion, fell victim to the COVID-19 cancellations in a virus-spread-prevention attempt. In fact, the CHS Robotics Team won its title and the next day, school was cancelled for the rest of Spring 2020. Classes did not resume until September; however, with January 2021 approaching and the virus’ US death toll at more than 300,000, there is no definite word that Academic Bowl, Robotics, and Science Olympiad in Spring 2021 will be staged as in-person events.

When you make voting simpler, More People Vote. The 2020 voter turn-out is expected to be at a 50-year high. Most of those people did not think Trump deserved four more years.
COLUMN: Invalidating The Election.

It’s a good bet that 81,056,268 United States voters will not go to the polls again to vote for President Joe Biden, once the Republicans are successful in nullifying the Constitution and declaring the General Election of 2020 invalid.
But, in my view, a pretty good number of those ARE going to vote again -- even braving the hazards of COVID-19 because state election offices will not be allowed to offer mail-in or absentee ballots.
