RANCHI: A Hyderabad-bound Indigo flight from Bagdogra in West Bengal made an emergency landing at the Birsa Munda International Airport here on Saturday morning after a 21-year-old passenger on board suffered a fit of seizure. The patient is now shifted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) and doctors treating her said she is critical.
According to airport officials, the patient was travelling alone from Bagdogra to Hyderabad and had developed anxiety midway. She was given first aid and oxygen support by the airline staff on board and as her condition had deteriorated, the captain of the flight decided to make an emergency landing at the airport here.

A Hyderabad-bound flight from West Bengal's Bagdogra had to make an emergency landing at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi on Saturday after a 21-year-old patient on board suffered a seizure. The passenger was travelling alone from Bagdogra to Hyderabad and reportedly developed anxiety midway on the flight.
As per a report in the
Times of India, the 21-year-old was given first-aid and oxygen support by the flight attendants. However, her condition deteriorated further which forced the captain of the flight to make an emergency landing at the Ranchi airport. The passenger was taken to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) from the Ranchi airport for treatment.

Special RT-PCR testing drive in East Singhbhum | Ranchi News

JAMSHEDPUR: The district administration has launched a special Covid-19 RT-PCR testing drive across all the 10 blocks in East Singhbhum. The drive was held in the eight rural blocks on Monday, while tests will be conducted in the remaining two blocks comprising urban and suburban areas on Wednesday.
The drive was held at the public health centres (PICs) in Baharagora, Ghatshila, Dumaria, Chakulia, Musaboni, Potka, Patamda and Dhalbhumgarh. Tests would also be conducted at the popular markets and malls in the Steel City.
“We have set a target of carrying out 6,500 tests during the drive. Of which, 4,500 would be conducted in the rural blocks and the remaining 2,000 in the urban circle,” the additional chief medical officer (ACMO), Sahir Pall, said.
