Winthrop Maine Historical Society Board of Directors gather from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 11, to celebrate the acquisition of Key Bank on Main Street in Winthrop for the future Winthrop History and Heritage Center.
For more than 10 years the society has been investigating and working to find a home for the many items that overtime have been donated to the society. In 2019, the Board of Directors began in earnest the task of actually finding a suitable home in downtown, according to a news release from Mary Richards of Winthrop. ....

I’d like to officially make known my preferred candidate in the March 9 state Senate election: It’s my father-in-law, Will Guerrette, or as my daughters call him, Pops.
In addition to being a successful small business owner, Will’s a dedicated family man. My daughters light up when they see “Pops.” He understands what’s truly important, and he’ll fight hard for policies that will make it easier for my children and yours to find opportunities here in central Maine.
As an educator who has taught for six years at Winthrop Grade School (also serving as a Union Building Representative for three years), education and our children’s futures are very important to me. Parents, teachers and all other community members, Will Guerrette deserves your vote on March 9. He works incredibly hard to support his family, and I know that he will work equally hard to help support yours in Augusta. ....
