Hopes for local economy boost if green light given to €6m expansion plans at Vienna Woods Country House Hotel It s hoped plans by a well-known Cork hotel to almost double its bedroom capacity and add a spa will provide a boost to the hospitality sector Leeside as the country slowly emerges from the grips of the COVID19 pandemic. Vienna Woods Country House Hotel has lodged a planning application with Cork City Council to add an additional 42 bedrooms to the hotel as well as a spa and a 25-seater cinema. It s hoped the €6 million project will provide a huge boost to the local economy as well as satisfying the anticipated need for hotel rooms in the city as the night time economy returns.
