Farage Slams 'Inhuman' Covid Rules Which Left Queen Alone at Funeral

18 Apr 2021
Brexit leader Nigel Farage has slammed the “inhuman” coronavirus rules which saw the Queen, 94, left sitting masked and alone at the funeral of her husband of 73 years.
The Queen, who along with her late husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was vaccinated against the Chinese virus all the way back in January, was following social distancing rules for funerals imposed on the rest of England by Boris Johnson’s administration.
“So desperately sad to see the Queen sat alone during the funeral service,” wrote former UKIP, Brexit Party, and Reform UK party leader Farage on social media.
“These Covid rules are inhuman.” ....

By BEN FINLEY and TOM FOREMAN Jr. April 17, 2021 GMT
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) The police officers’ guns were trained on the uniformed U.S. Army lieutenant, his arms raised and palms outstretched as he sat in his SUV under a brightly lit gas station awning.
Lt. Caron Nazario had been pulled over in rural Virginia by the two officers, who repeatedly demanded that he step out of the vehicle. Nazario, who is Black and Latino, didn’t move and continually asked, “What’s going on?”
“I’m serving this country, and this is how I’m treated?” he said at one point. ....

Philip Funeral Will Praise WWII Veteran's 'Courage', Loyalty to Queen

17 Apr 2021
WINDSOR, England (AP) – Prince Philip will be remembered as a man of “courage, fortitude and faith” on Saturday, at a funeral that salutes both his service in the Royal Navy and his support for Queen Elizabeth II over three-quarters of a century.
Philip, who died April 9 at the age of 99 after 73 years of marriage, will be laid to rest in the Royal Vault at Windsor Castle after a funeral service steeped in military and royal tradition – but also pared down and infused with his own personality.
Coronavirus restrictions mean that instead of the 800 mourners included in the longstanding plans for his funeral, there will be only 30 inside the castle’s St. George’s Chapel, including the widowed Queen, her four children, and her eight grandchildren. ....
