The Andrews Labor Government is helping veterans in Warrnambool stay active and socially connected with funding for increased welfare support services.
Minister for Veterans Shaun Leane visited Warrnambool RSL today and announced more than $46,000 their Veteran Support Centre
RSL Active Program.
The RSL Active program includes fitness activities similar to military physical training, yoga, and community support events to assist veterans and their families to reintegrate back into civilian life and develop genuine connections to their local community.
The Warrnambool RSL delivers one of the most popular RSL Active programs in Victoria, with over 200 veterans and family members participating. ....

JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Sgt. Adam Cochran of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department ran 100 miles in 31 days during the month of March. He admits it was hard.
“I substituted some on the treadmill, but some days I actually did skip a day so the next day or the next available time I had to double up,” Cochran said. “There were days I think I ran 6 miles, 9 miles. One day I did 10 miles.” ....

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Friday, the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center is offering a walk-in vaccine clinic to get more veterans in the door. This is an opportunity for veterans to get the COVID-19 vaccine at their convenience.
The walk-in clinic is taking place from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. The clinic will be in the existing COVID-19 vaccine clinic in Building 137 Sports Atrium. If you are not currently enrolled in the VA system, you need to bring a copy of your DD-214 when you come in. ....
