Vermont officials hold COVID-19 briefing
As people are celebrating Christmas this week, Vermont is working to get more people vaccinated against COVID-19.
We will vaccinate Vermont as fast as possible. We are receiving shipments weekly, says Dr. Mark Levine, Vermont s Health Commissioner.
Levine says 6,382 Vermont residents have been vaccinated so far, with people in long term care facilities receiving doses this week.
On Wednesday, Vermont received more than 11,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and is on track to have received 34,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine by New Year s. ....

Vaccines will help us beat the virus and begin our return to normal and while it s a huge milestone, we need to remember just because a vaccine exists, doesn t mean we can let our guard down, Gov. Phil Scott said Friday. It will still be several more months before the vaccines starts to lower the infection rate of the virus. ....
