Members of the Sawgrass community participated in the Adopt-a-Highway program.
Sawgrass community residents did their part to clean up the environment and remove unsightly litter from their community April 25. As participants in the Department of Transportation s Adopt-A-Highway program, they collected trash along two miles of Old Landing Road. Members of Sawgrass spent two hours collecting seven bags of litter. It brings us tremendous satisfaction knowing we did our part to keep America beautiful and celebrate Earth Day. Everyone of us can make a difference. said Bob Murray, Adopt-A-Highway participant and community organizer. Other participants from Sawgrass included: Doug and Pam Lynn, Ken Jeske, Roberta and Dave Rizzo, Paul and Angela Swarm, Shawn Barron, Robert Fonger, Tom Kimmerle, Ching Hsia, Blaise DiFlorio, Bob Arner, Russ Chamberlain, Connie and Carl Ballato and Ed Curley.
