(Photo credits: Jaideep Shenoy) br /p UDUPI: Nationwide Covid-19 vaccination programme that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch on January 16 will see 22,230 health workers in the district get the vaccine shot in the first phase getting underway on Saturday. These include 5,712 health workers in the government health set up and rest in the private sector. The district on Thursday received 12,000 doses of Covishield vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India. Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha who received the first batch of vaccine along with DHO Dr Sudhir Chandra Sooda told reporters that vaccination will be held in six centres.
